Abstract: The authors share a theoretical exploration of democratic vistas of leadership, and by extension, explicate further the theoretical through an exploration of practitioners' perspectives concerning the challenges, imperatives, and political issues that define or otherwise shape the social practices of educational leadership concerned with democratic schools. The authors examine democratic leadership through a metaphorical framework of "democratic vistas" and "spatial practices."
