Abstract: In this study, the researchers investigated the effects of financial and non-financial incentives on teacher recruitment and retention among public school teachers (n = 328) in the State of Texas. Findings revealed that school districts that infuse financial and non-financial incentives positively influence recruiting and retaining their teachers. Implications of these findings are discussed.
